Meridian Community College wanted to move away from the 35-year-old lighting system at its soccer and baseball facilities due to concerns with its old wooden poles and outdated HID fixtures. To better understand the capabilities of LED systems, Meridian researched several lighting solutions and became excited about the possibility of introducing special effects lighting to its players and fans. It was also important that the new system would be easy to operate and include a comprehensive warranty ensuring long-term reliability.
Through the public bid process, Meridian recognized Musco’s ability to provide superior lighting services at an affordable price and decided to install its Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ system and Show-Light® entertainment package at both facilities. Musco’s Light-Structure System™ with 5 Easy Pieces™ provides new galvanized steel poles to replace the existing wood structures. The Control-Link® controls service enables simple operation via smartphone, while Musco’s 25-year warranty guarantees Meridian won’t pay any maintenance costs through the year 2046. And the Show-Light entertainment package with RGBW accent lights enhances game night celebrations with cutting-edge light shows and special effects.
